Nayeli de Alba is one of the most sought-after stylist and creative director in Mexico, her country of origin, for having a new perspective in the cultural and fashion field. In her editorial work with Dazed magazine, Elle, Vogue, Paper (among others) she offers a vision to “break up” with stereotypes of traditional aesthetics to re-emerge with unique looks.
Her proposal seeks to reconfigure the notions about beauty, coolness, or what is desirable when making up a style. She believes that it is possible to find inspiration and more interesting things in the city streets, in the urban streetwear, which allows us to play between the images and shapes of the counterculture.
Nayeli de Alba is a creative that proposes other places to do styling in the country, places that from a conservative point of view may not say much, but from her perspective expand the spectrum of opportunities to transform garments and accessories into authentic works that give expression to what was commonly considered stigma. Providing a new panorama to the fashion industry in Mexico has been the work of talents such as Nayeli de Alba, who are concerned about giving voice to new generations.
